Aviva Investors is a global asset management business dedicated to building and providing our clients with focused investment solutions. We are wholly owned by Aviva plc, the world’s fifth largest insurance group* with assets under management of €245 billion across a range of funds. Our client base ranges from among the largest financial institutions to individuals investing for the future.
Aviva Investors is a significant business in its own right: employing almost 1,300 people, including some 400 investment professionals in 20 locations around the world.
Our clients benefit not only from our unique access to, and experience of, our local markets – but also from our ability to leverage an infrastructure that comes with global representation.
The creation of Aviva Investors was announced in February 2008, to leverage the combined resources of several long-established asset management businesses owned by Aviva plc, bringing them together in a unified, global management structure.

Our History in Ireland
Aviva Investors in Ireland (formerly Hibernian Investment Managers) was initially established as a stand-alone investment management entity within the Aviva Group in 1990, having previously been an investment management department within the Group.
In 2003 Hibernian Investment Managers (HIM) became a wholly owned subsidiary of Aviva Investors Global Services Ltd (formerly Morley Fund Management Ltd), Aviva’s largest asset management company, who are based in the UK. Since 2003, we have worked closely with our colleagues in London to provide the Irish market with a comprehensive range of actively managed funds across all asset classes.
Our existing, strong relationship with Aviva Investors in London has provided an ideal base from which to grow our capabilities as part of a global asset management company.
Our investment management team based in Dublin support the life and pensions products offered by Aviva Life & Pensions Ireland Ltd and Allied Irish Banks and they provide bespoke investment management services to third party clients.
